Season's Yeetings
by The Incredible Jukebox
The Christmas 2026 album. These songs started life as a set of lyrics, set to music by Ashley Frieze and recorded as demo versions. They were then put through AI to create the sound, and further edited and remixed outside of AI to get the final version.
Released: 6 November 2026
Track Listing

Meal DealAIHybrid
This isn't my first attempt at writing a song about a meal deal. Putting a Christmas theme to it makes it brilliantly jolly, and the story unfolds nicely.

Chocolate PeopleAIHybrid
I'm actually a Pulp fan, and there's no doubt that this song is probably an insult to them more than a homage. I did a trick I often do with pastiche songs, and wrote lyrics a bit like I was writing a parody, and then changed direction both rhythmically and in how I set it to music. It's a lovely Christmassy sound, and very passionate about chocolate.

HypothermiaAIHybrid
This is a genre called Jawaiian, apparently, which I sublimated from a Bruno Mars song, though the lyrics and structure of the song are nothing to do with that. As I've done with other Christmas songs, I took an idea from the Christmas lexicon - the snow is falling - and made it a bad thing. There's a lot of middle-aged Dad values in this, for example the virtues of regular boiler servicing plans.

CountdownAIHybrid
I met enormous resistance as I did the 12 days of Christmas, but as though it was The Final Countdown. The AI's copyright detection tried to resist me using lyrics that were even paraphrased from the song. In the end, I fed it a demo of me singing gibberish that rhymed with the lyrics, and then I tried to surgically replace phrases with the lyrics I wanted to use. This is why it has a multi-singer vibe to it. Each line of the song is a different song.

I Believe in SantaAIHybrid
This came from a line where I wondered how much my son's belief in Santa, now punctured, was motivated reasoning. Then I wondered how long you could keep that up.

Myrhh (What Is It Good For?)AIHybrid
It's 'WAR!' but make it Christmas. The singer of this song does go on to answer the rhetorical question.

Never Knowingly UndercookedAIHybrid
I'm low-key obsessed with the John Lewis Ad genre of music, and this faux Lily Allen does justice to a very pretty song I wrote for 'her'.

ElevenAIHybrid
At my daughter's school Christmas concert last year a kid tried to do 'Underneath The Tree', which almost immediately turned out to be too great an effort to even attempt. This song is about those heavy going Christmas songs you might regret attempting.

Secret SantaAIHybrid
The genre of this one was not in my mind when I wrote a song about someone taking Secret Santa too seriously and their eventual comeuppance. My first draft of the music was anodyne and dull. I quickly recording something with a Latin vibe to it before going out to take my son to his after school sports club. In the car, I discovered what this Reggaeton vibe could do for the song... and then I adorned it.

Les ChristmerablesAIHybrid
Last year was 'Santamilton', this year it's a Les Mis pastiche. I enjoyed going from the initial call back to the original tune through to my development of it. If I wrote Les Mis, it might sound like this.

Christmas TosspotsAIHybrid
This isn't trying to be anything too specifically, though it's probably got a fair bit of Queen in its DNA. I can guarantee that some people will be going on about Christmas not being to their satisfaction and we'll all have to listen to them.
3 June 2026
Mad FridayAIHybrid
We used to call it Black Friday, this is a song about the last Friday gig before Christmas. When I did that gig last year, the venue staff referred to it as Mad Friday, which is a less ambiguous name.

Not Feeling ChristmassyAIHybrid
This album of Christmas songs was written in June. This song is about how that feels.

Damn SnowmanAIHybrid
Maybe part of a trilogy of pastiches of Olivia Rodrigo's Vampire. In my head, this isn't a metaphor. She tried to date an actual snowman. This song has a repeated musical refrain at the end, which I could have cut, but it's the angriest Christmas thing I've ever heard, so I kept it in. Another outbreak of Christmas rage.

Merry Temu ChristmasAIHybrid
Is this a Christmas album or a consumer affairs watchdog? It's both.
18 June 2026
I Jingled All The WayAIHybrid
How do you do a song about being tired to the point of near collapse by Christmas? You pretend to be Johnny Cash.
4 June 2026
One Hundred SleepsAIHybrid
Measuring time to Christmas by sleeps really only makes sense if you sleep once a day.
18 June 2026
White ChristmasAIHybrid
A song about a White Supremacist's Christmas wishes.
11 June 2026
UpdatesAIHybrid
The annual drain on the WiFi, caused by all the new devices that need to run their software updates.
8 June 2026
Too FullAIHybrid
As I'd been working on Monkey Paw Cowboy regenerated, I felt I had another country song in me. This is a Country singer apologising for being too full to fool around. It's probably the third song I wrote about being too full or unable to eat, but this one stuck.
15 June 2026
Uncle GaryAIHybrid
My son's only suggestion for something to include in a Christmas song was 'Gary', so I imagined the rest.
3 June 2026
TaytoAIHybrid
What do we know about the band East 17? Their song 'Stay Another Day' doesn't seem very Christmassy, and their lead singer had an accident involving a car and a jacket potato.

You Can’t Say Christmas AnymoreAIHybrid
This is the only song on the album which started life as a song for me to sing. I did a smaller version of this last year, and thought it could be improved by extending it and adding some excellent rhymes.
